Amrita Vidyalayam takes an important role in inculcating our culture always. The most important Thai Thirunal, Pongal festival was celebrated grandly on 13.01.2024, Saturday . Swamini Niranjanamrita Prana Amma, The Manager of Amrita Vidyalayam, Tirupur and Erode started the fest by lightning the lamps. Selvan, Nithil Vibhav welcomed the gathering. The Principal, Shri. Vidhya Shankar spoke about the importance of Pongal celebration in everyone’s life.Selvan. Yuvan and Selvi. Ridhu Varshini spoke about the significance of the day and how it became oneness in every Indian. To enlight the gathering, cultural programmes were performed elegantly by Primary children and then a debate in Tamil was conducted on the topic “Udagangalin Valarchiyil Tamil mozhi Thalaikkradha? Thadumadukiradha?” . Kanakkampalayam Government Higher Secondary School’s Assistant Headmaster, Thiru Prakash, M.A, M.Ed, M.Phil., presided the debate and teachers, Smt. Meena Kalyani, Smt. Poornima and Shri. Jeevanantham supported the topic Thalaikkiradhu and Smt. Gayathri, Smt. Sandhiya and Ku. Ajitha supported the topic Thadumarukiradhu. It was an amazing program. Finally Valli Kummiyattam was performed by Thiru. Vairavel Valli Kummiyattam and team. On this special day, Amrita *Ayudh Group* displayed the saplings which they have planned to plant in different places. The function ended Vote of Thanks which was delivered Smt.Poornima followed by Shanthi Manthra.
