Aum Namashivaya! Education is the manifestation of perfection in man. It is the wholesome development which includes physical, mental, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of the child. Our Amrita Vidyalayams’ vision is to provide a wholesome holistic education through right blend of modern Apara Vidhya (material knowledge) with the age old Bharathiya Para Vidhya (cultural wisdom).
In Amma’s words “ Apara Vidhya is the “ education for living and education for life”. In our Amrita Vidyalayams we give both the education to the child at the right proportion to become a better human being to act locally with global vision. The distinct aim of our school is to provide all round development with rich Indian culture and tradition and core values. We have an effective curriculum which inculcates among children both the material intelligence as designed by CBSE and cultural wisdom as practised in Amrita.
Where there is absence of threat where everyone is treated with respect where moral values are celebrated there the human brain functions the best.We strive to provide an ambient and conducive atmosphere of stress free learning which imbibes self discipline that allows the child to learn even from mistakes. The child develops into person moulded with freedom and responsibility.
We are continuously guided by a team of regional office academicians headed by our academic director who develops newer scholastic and co-scholastic approaches to overcome the barrier of facing new challenges in implementing the curriculum. We adopt play way method and thematic method of teaching in KG and Primary level to develop aesthetic sense along with numerical, linguistic cognitive and motor skills. We balance emotions through alertness of mind through yoga, meditation, value education, prayer and bhajans.
We value igniting the spark of creativity and curiosity in our students. We provide opportunities for children to identify their inner strength and nurture them to become extra ordinary. Education is for life, through life and throughout life. As there is a paradigm shift from teacher centred education to child centred education, we have in-house program for the teachers to get updated with latest trend in teaching and learning methods. Meticulous steps are being under taken in our schools so that our teaching – learning is joyous, meaningful and everlasting.
