DAY 1 :”The Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on strengthening assessment and evaluation practices for secondary classes began at Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangalam, Tirupur on 27-11-2023 (Monday). The Inaugural Ceremony of CBP training program started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the resource persons Mrs.Rajeshwari ,Former Principal and Academic Advisor,Hayagriva Vidyashram school, Kanchipuram and Mrs.Vasumathy Srinivasan,Former Senior Principal,Vani Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary, Chennai. Smt.Sigappy.N , The Secondary Incharge welcomed the gathering. Shri.Vidhya Shankar ,Principal,Amrita Vidyalayam, Tirupur addressed the gathering. Mrs.Rajeshwari explained about the evaluation of assessment. Mrs.Vasumathy Srinivasan briefed about benefits of portfolio, assessment. Template for Assessing Portfolios Group discussion was given to the teachers. Sixty one teachers from various schools took part in the training programme. DAY 2 : The Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on strengthening assessment and evaluation practices for secondary classes valedictory was held on 28-11- 2023,Tuesday at Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangalam, Tirupur. Competency based learning was discussed by the resource persons Mrs.Rajeshwari ,Former Principal and Academic Advisor, Hayagriva Vidyashram school, Kanchipuram and Mrs.Vasumathy Srinivasan, Former Senior Principal, Vani Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary, Chennai through Panel discussion.They trained the teachers on how to evaluate LAAR ( Learning, Activity, Assessment, Reflection) of students’ activities. A lot of activities were conducted for teachers to clear the topic.The session was ended with the teachers feedback. Shri.Vidhya Shankar ,Principal,Amrita Vidyalayam, Tirupur honoured the resource persons with a momento. Smt.Kasthuri, gave vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with Shanti Mantra.
