Aum Namashivaya!
The Onam festival was celebrated at Tirupur Amrita Vidyalayam on Monday, August 22. Mr. Vidya Shankar, the principal of the school, lit the lamp to begin the celebration. Nikhil Vaibhav of class IV, welcomed everyone. The keynote speech was presented by the school’s principal. Saparni and Sripriya, from class 10, talked in English and Malayalam respectively and provided insightful commentary about Onam. The students then gave a fantastic dance performance. Mrs. Kamakshi, an English teacher, talked about the history of the Onam festival. Vashishka of class VI, gave the vote of thanks. The program successfully ended with the National Anthem.
